K-12 Microschools

At PLC, we have thoughtfully structured our program to balance academic support with creative and personal growth opportunities. Our mornings are focused on core subject support, where students receive guidance in academics such as math, reading, writing, and science. This dedicated time allows leaders to strengthen their foundational skills, stay on track with their educational goals, and receive personalized help to overcome any challenges they face in their studies.
In the afternoons, we shift to what we call the Fill-Me Options, an exciting and customizable part of the day designed to nurture creativity, curiosity, and personal interests. During this time, leaders and their families select from a wide variety of activities tailored to their passions and goals. These enriching options give students the chance to explore and grow in areas they find inspiring.
Throughout the week, leaders and families can choose to participate in several Fill-Me options, including:

    •    Music and Art, which encourage creativity and self-expression.
    •    Baking, where students learn practical cooking skills in a fun and collaborative environment.
    •    STEM and Robotics, offering hands-on, innovative learning in technology and engineering.
     •    Nature Exploration, fostering an appreciation for the environment through outdoor activities.
  • Youth Bible Study Class: An engaging class where elementary-aged children explore Bible stories, memorize scripture, and learn how to apply biblical principles through fun activities, discussions, and fellowship.
  • Wood Building Projects: A hands-on class where students in grades K-12 learn basic woodworking skills while creating age-appropriate projects, fostering creativity, teamwork, and practical craftsmanship.
And many more exciting choices! These Fill-Me sessions allow students to not only gain academic knowledge but also build confidence, develop critical life skills, and form lasting connections with their peers. By balancing rigorous academic support with dynamic afternoon options, we create a well-rounded learning experience that empowers every student to excel both inside and outside the classroom.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PLC LEADER

Welcome to the 2025/2026 Academic Year! This section serves as a guide to help students and families understand the daily routines, expectations, and opportunities available throughout the year. Our goal is to provide a structured, engaging, and enriching environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and creatively.

K-12 MICROSCHOOL LEADER EXAMPLE SCHEDULE

At Peterson Learning Center LLC. we recognize that every child learns differently and may need more or less time on different subjects throughout the day. The benefit of our program is flexibility—we adapt to each student’s needs, ensuring they receive the support they need, when they need it. Some subjects may take longer, while others may be completed more quickly. Breaks and lunch periods also serve as opportunities for students to reset and refocus so they can continue learning at their best.
The following schedule is just an example of what a typical day might look like for our K-12 Hybrid Leaders. Each student’s schedule may vary based on their progress, needs, and chosen courses.
If you have any questions, our team is here to help ensure each student reaches their full potential!
📌 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM | English Language Arts (ELA) & Collaborative Project Learning
